Welcome to the official website of the 1st Dhyan Chand International Orienteering Championship 2025 ("DCIOC", "Championship", "Event"). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this website and participation in the event. By accessing this website or registering for the championship, you agree to abide by these terms.
1. General Terms
1.1. The DCIOC website is managed by the Dhyan Chand Foundation.
1.2. The championship will be held in New Delhi, India, from November 7th to November 16th, 2025.
1.3. DCIOC reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any updates will be posted on this website.
2. Eligibility & Registration
2.1. Participation is open to individuals and teams of all nationalities except participants from
1. Afghanistan
2. Pakistan
3. Iraq
4. Sudan
5. Foreigners of Pakistani origin
6. Stateless persons.
7. Any country barred by the International Orienteering Federation
2.2. Participants must register through the official website or designated registration channels.
2.3. Registration fees, if applicable, must be paid in full before the deadline. Refund policies, if any, will be communicated separately in the Bulletins that will be issued from time to time.
2.4. DCIOC reserves the right to refuse or cancel any registration at its discretion.
3. Event Rules & Conduct
3.1. All participants must adhere to the official Orienteering Rules and Regulations set by the International Orienteering Federation (IOF).
3.2. Participants must conduct themselves in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner. Any form of misconduct, cheating, or unsportsmanlike behavior will result in disqualification.
3.3. DCIOC is not responsible for any personal belongings lost or damaged during the event.
4. Safety & Liability
4.1. Participants must be in good physical condition to compete. DCIOC, its organizers, sponsors, and partners are not responsible for any injuries or health issues arising from participation.
4.2. It is mandatory for participants to follow all safety guidelines provided before and during the event.
4.3. DCIOC, its organizers, sponsors, and partners shall not be held liable for any personal injury, property damage, or losses sustained during the championship.
5. Intellectual Property & Media Rights
5.1. All content, logos, and materials on this website are the intellectual property of the Dhyan Chand Foundation and its partners. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.
5.2. By registering, participants grant DCIOC the right to use their name, photographs, and videos for promotional and media purposes.
6. Data Protection & Privacy
6.1. Personal information collected during registration will be used solely for event management and will not be shared with third parties without consent, except where required by law.
6.2. Participants may request the deletion of their data post-event by contacting the organizers.
7. Cancellations & Force Majeure
7.1. If the event is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, including natural disasters, political instability, or pandemics, DCIOC reserves the right to reschedule or provide alternative solutions.
7.2. In case of event rescheduling, all registrations will be transferred to the new date.
8. Governing Law & Disputes
8.1. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
8.2. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be resolved through mediation, and if unresolved, through arbitration in New Delhi, India.
